"Local reminder" is a specific technical choice, and we think it's worth explaining plainly.
What "local" means
When you set a due date and time on a task, Vayoru schedules that reminder directly on your device's operating system. It is not sent as a push notification from a remote server - there's no round trip to the internet required for the notification to fire.
Why this matters
It means your reminder doesn't depend on your connection at the exact moment it's due. It also means the reminder behaves like any other notification on your device, which means it follows the same rules: notification permissions, Do Not Disturb settings, and battery optimization can all affect whether - and when - it appears.
What to check if something's off
If a reminder doesn't show up, the most common cause is a device setting rather than anything on our end - notifications turned off for Vayoru, or a battery-saving mode pausing background activity. Your device's app notification settings are the right place to look first.
